Designed by the italian architect Giancarlo Zema and produced by EcoFloLife, WaterNest 100 is a floating and ecological housing. The 100 sq meters residential units are made by 98% by recycled materials.
The hull consists of 8 aluminum modules attached, each of them with several cavities and openings that allow to pass all the necessary systems for the operation of the unit. The supporting structure is made of laminated wood treated to withstand different climates.
60 m2 of embedded photovoltaic panels on the roof provide electricity up to 4 kWp (kilowatt-peak, maximum energy produced under optimal conditions). It also has a sophisticated micro-ventilation and natural air conditioning.
Skylights, balconies and large windows surround the house, allowing efficient use of natural light and attractive views. The interiors are warm with wood finishes. Its base module includes lounge, dining room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.
